Freddy’s Bistro has garnered an impressive reputation over the years with limerick owner liz Phelan at the helm. liz’s passion for food and her knowledge of nutrition allows her to work with the chefs at Freddy’s creating delicious menus and this makes for a successful combination as she leads a strong team at Freddy’s.

liz’s sister Caroline Kerley works alongside her at the restaurant and brings with her an enthusiastic flair for fine wines with an enviable selection of new and olde world wines available in various prices at Freddy’s. Award winning chefs Mark, Mike and Marcel are responsible for the first-rate cuisine at this Theatre Lane bistro, all the food at the restaurant being sourced locally with fresh ingredients.

Unrivalled atmosphere

Situated down historic Theatre Lane in the heart of limerick City, off Lower Glentworth SI., Freddy’s Bistro is a real find for any restaurant goers who crave a charming, unaffected venue. Boasting a delightful stonework building on the outside, and a warm inviting ambience on the inside. Step inside Freddy’s and you will find it just as captivating as ever but with a few subtle updates. The traditional dark wood flooring and exposed red brick walls and ‘Iickering candlelight provide a relaxed surroundings and with improved seating areas and a recent revamp, it’s a warm environment with a contemporary feel.

Freddy’s Bistro has received many accolades over the years including the prestigious Epicurean World Masterchef win which was awarded based on the quality of food, service and ambience and were also awarded overall winners of the Riverfest BBQ 2007.

Liz, Caroline and the staff are determined that as always customers at the bistro can tailor their evening to suit their individual tastes and budgets.

Customers at Freddy’s can enjoy a light bite of a Carbonara Tagliatelle with Garlic Bread or a Gourmet Burger and a glass of beer or indulge in something more substantial like a Braised Lamb Shank, Roasted Root Vegetables, Honey and Rosemary Jus and a bottle of Chateau Neuf du Pape (Chateau La Nerthe) the varied and mouthwatering menu caters perfectly to evervone’s tastes.

Catering to all

Freddy’s Bistro serves dinner from Tuesday to Saturday from 5.30pm daily, serving fresh, indulgent dishes from the excellent kitchen team and served by friendly waiting staff.

Offering dishes made using only the best quality Irish produce, Freddy’s Bistro presents a varied menu with mouthwatering steaks, first class seafood, and vegetarian. Since every dish is cooked fresh to order, they can accommodate people with special dietary requirements, such as coeliacs.
